Silverband® Technology

Silverband® Wound Dressings gels contain unique multivalent, catalytic, nano-molecular silver which allows for continuous antibacterial activity at low concentrations

How it Helps

Multivalent: Silverband® Ag4O4 complex allows Silverband® to take on electrons from the cell wall of multiple bacteria at the same time allowing for faster cell wall lysis and antibacterial activity.

Catalytic: Silverband® Ag4O4 complex allows for each molecule to spin off electrons already gained from lysed bacteria and seek electrons from additional bacteria to cause further antibacterial activity. This catalytic activity prevents the molecule from permanently being bound and allows for continuous antibacterial activity.

How It Works

SILVERBAND® contains silver that in laboratory tests has been shown to inhibit the growth of microorganisms such as: Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, antibiotic resistant strains, MRSA and VRE, as well as fungi such as Candida albicans, and Asperigillus niger.
